OT 69 Josiah Finds the Scroll of the Law
Reference: 2 Chronicles 34
Big Idea: God sent Jesus to save lawbreakers like you and me.
Verse: Romans 4:7 - Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. (ESV)
Motions for the Big Idea:
God - point up
Jesus - form a cross with your forearms
Save - make the baseball “safe” sign
Lawbreakers - cross your wrists behind your back like you’re in handcuffs
You and me - point to someone else, then yourself
Motions for the Verse:
Blessed - point to your cheeks and smile really big
Lawless deeds - put your hands behind your back like they’re in handcuffs
Forgiven - hold left palm up, brush it off twice with the fingertips of your other hand 1
Sins - two thumbs down
Covered - make a roof over your head with your arms
